An error message has popped up on my PC that says "WMI.DLL is missing. Replace and try again." What does the wmi.dll file do?
The wmi.dll file is the Dynamic Link Library for Windows Management Instrumentation. This module is responsible for the implementation of data collection and data portability functionalities and is a key component of Windows
The error message displayed on your screen will vary depending on the application that is attempting to use the wmi.dll file. Some common examples include:
